Pictured above is Bill Eckle's system housed in home builtcabinets, with smoked glass doors with the interior lit by 'peanut'lamps when the door is open. Also visible are the Aria 5s on the 1259 subcabinets. Of his cabinet, Bill says 'I bought some cheap cabinetsyears ago with the smoked glass doors. I replaced the tops & bottoms,and covered the 1' fiberboard sides, inside & out with 1/4'oak plywood. Added half round oak moldings to the front. Installed 2'x 2' aluminum angle on each side, drilled and tapped the angle forEIA spacing and now have rack-mount cabinets. There are also 'peanut'lamps on the edge of the doors that light when the doors are opened. Nowthe hard part is fabricating angle iron brackets to rack mount all my components.'

Pictured above is the TV base (before the grill clothis installed) with a pair of Altec 755s in the doors to serve as TV speakers.Seldom is the TV played through the main system. This TV base in on castersto provide easy movement, although the rear of the system can be accessedby opening the window behind the cabinets, and reaching in from outside.Switching phone jacks were installed in the TV speaker wires to plugin the 755s. The Altec 755s were designed for speech intelligibility, andare relatively efficient so make excellent TV speakers.

Up for sale is a 24x2 passive balanced summing amplifier PCB for building your own console or passive 24 channel summing box. Kannada kadambari serial. 24 balanced Left inputs, 24 balanced Right inputs and 2 balanced outputs (L/R). Printed schematic included with purchase.
The outputs from the PCB are at mic level and need to be boosted by a preamp of your choice (any 1950's-1970's fixed gain solid state or tube amplifier would be perfect - for example a Langevin 5116 / 5117 / AM-16 / AM-17 or Altec 458A / 459A / 9470A / 9475A). These were made with 2oz thick and extra wide copper traces and were manufactured for our new 'Control Series' consoles which feature passive balanced summing.
